Club of Rome
Carlos Alvarez Pereira serves as Secretary General and Vice President of The Club of Rome, and is a member of its Executive Committee since November 2017. In addition, Alvarez Pereira is a member of the Advisory Board for the UNESCO Chair on Global Understanding for Sustainability at Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena and the International Bateson Institute. The individual founded and presided over The Innaxis Foundation & Research Institute from January 2006 to March 2020, focusing on research related to complex systems and sustainability. Carlos Alvarez Pereira has extensive experience in consultancy as the owner and CEO of TELENIUM and Texelia AG, promoting IT infrastructures and digital transformation, respectively. Prior non-executive roles include Chairman of the Board at SKYBUS and Chairman for le CXP. Earlier career experience includes management at Atos Origin and academic positions at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where education was also obtained in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.
