Jonty Barnes

Jonty Barnes has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Jonty is currently the Co-Founder & CEO of Formation Games, an independent sports game studio. Prior to this, they worked as a Strategic Advisor at NetEase Games and as Acting Commercial Director at Media Molecule. Jonty also served as a Strategic Advisor at Sony Interactive Entertainment, where they played a key role in the acquisition of Bungie. Speaking of Bungie, Jonty held various positions there, including Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer, Destiny General Manager, VP of Game Development, Production Director, and Halo 3 Executive Producer. Earlier in their career, they worked at OneBothell.org, a non-profit organization, and played a significant role in preserving critical land in Washington. Jonty also gained valuable experience at Lionhead Studios and Bullfrog Productions Ltd., where they held positions such as Studio Head/Executive Producer, Founder, Senior Programmer, and QA & Level Design. Overall, Jonty has a strong background in the gaming industry, with expertise in leadership, strategic advising, marketing, and game development.

From 1992 to 1996, Jonty Barnes attended the University of East Anglia, where they pursued a Computer Systems Engineering Degree in the field of Computer Science.
