Omer Ayfer

Omer Ayfer is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in information technology and cybersecurity. As Principal at Ayfer Network LLC since November 2017, Omer has provided fractional CIO, CTO, and CISO services primarily to biotechnology organizations, including notable companies like Lyell Immunopharma and Myriad Genetics. Omer serves as an Adjunct Professor at Merritt College's Cybersecurity Program, contributing to course development. In a part-time role as CIO at Illumina Ventures, Omer focuses on cloud infrastructure and information security strategy. Omer holds leadership positions at genXtraits and Bene Seeds Inc, co-founding the latter to offer unique tomato varieties. Omer's prior experience includes significant IT leadership roles at Veracyte, Sequenta, and Mendel Biotechnology. Omer earned a BS in Computer Engineering from Purdue University.
