Laura Doherty

Laura Doherty is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in treasury and financial control. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Treasury Finance at Virgin Money since July 2023, Laura previously held the position of Group Treasury Controller at The Weir Group PLC from July 2021 to July 2023. Laura's career at Virgin Money began in October 2019 as Group Reporting and Control Manager. Prior roles include Financial Reporting Manager and Treasury Controller at Clydesdale Bank, and Vice President of Treasury Control at Morgan Stanley, where expertise in currency management and funding was demonstrated. Laura started as a Fund Accountant at JPMorgan Chase and began a career in finance at BAE Systems as a graduate. Laura holds a BA (Hons) in Finance and Economics from the University of Strathclyde, is a member of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and has credentials from the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
