Sophie Mullen has extensive experience in the field of audit and assurance, currently serving as a Senior Assurance Manager for Quality, Insights & Reporting at Virgin Money since July 2025. Prior to this, Sophie held the position of Internal Audit Manager at Newcastle Building Society from November 2020 to July 2025 and worked as a Senior Internal Auditor at Sage from May 2018 to November 2020. Sophie's career began at PwC, where Sophie progressed from Senior Associate to Manager in External Audit between September 2010 and May 2018. Earlier experience includes a role as International Finance Administrator at Newcastle College from September 2009 to May 2010. Sophie earned the ACA qualification from ICAEW between 2010 and 2012 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Durham University, completed in 2009.
