Edward M. Yu, MD, CMQ, CPE, currently serves as Vice President of Value/Population Health at Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group, where responsibilities include strategic direction for population health and implementation of initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes and reducing costs. With extensive experience in quality improvement, Edward acts as Chief Quality Officer and Medical Director for quality initiatives, overseeing California’s Value Based Pay-for Performance Program and CMS Quality Reporting Program. Additional leadership roles include Chairperson of the Patient Safety Committee at Sutter Health - Bay Area and a member of the Board of Directors for the AMGA Foundation. Edward is also a seasoned family physician at Palo Alto Medical Foundation, practicing full-spectrum family medicine. Educational credentials include an MD from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and a B.S. in Genetics from the University of California, Davis.
