Jack Chou

Jack Chou, M.D., serves as Speaker of the California Medical Association’s House of Delegates.

Dr. Chou is a Partner of the Southern California Permanente Medical Group (SCPMG) and is the Regional Chair for Health Information Management and Regional Co-Chair for Scanning Oversight Committee at Southern California Permanente Medical Group (2008- Present).

Dr. Chou embraces leadership at all levels – local, state and national – for the communities of which he is a part of and been recognized for his commitment and leadership on numerous occasions. In 2015, he was named SCPMG Regional Family Physician of the Year. In 2011, he was awarded Physician of the Year and the Service Extraordinaire Award by Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center. He was also named Philanthropist of the Year by the California Academy of Family Physicians Foundation in 2006.

Dr. Chou was raised in a small rural town in Taiwan and later earned his Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Miami, Florida, and his medical degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He completed his family medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Family Medicine Residency in Woodland Hills, California.

Dr. Chou has been married for 16 years to his wife, Kathy, and is the proud father of twin daughters, Sarah and Samantha, and his son, Nathan. He spends most of his free time dedicated to traveling with his family as part of his children’s education.
