Nathan Skadsen

Senior Director, Political Data & Analytics at CMA

Nathan Skadsen has a diverse work experience. Nathan started their career as Chief of Staff, Political Affairs at the USAC Office of the Student External Vice President, UCLA from June 2015 to June 2016. Later, they worked as Deputy Field Director at Scott Wilk for Senate/Tom Lackey for Assembly, where they played a significant role in managing a 40-person walk team for two successful election campaigns. In December 2016, they joined Assemblyman Steven S. Choi, Ph.D. as a Scheduler/Legislative Assistant, where they served until February 2018. Nathan then became a Field Representative at the California Republican Party from February to June 2018. After that, they joined the California Medical Association, initially as a PAC Coordinator from June 2018 to September 2019. Nathan was later promoted to Associate Director, Political Operations, where they managed day-to-day operations of a data-driven non-profit fundraising team and was involved in various decision-making processes. Currently, Nathan Skadsen holds the position of Director, Political Operations at the California Medical Association since December 2022.

Nathan Skadsen began their education at Antelope Valley College from 2012 to 2014, where they earned an Associate of Liberal Arts and Sciences degree with a focus on Social & Behavioral Sciences and Arts and Humanities, specifically Political Science. Following this, they attended UCLA from 2014 to 2016, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government.
