Oleg Chebotarev

Oleg Chebotarev is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in business management and engineering within the technology and biomedical sectors. As the Business Unit Manager at CMC Microsystems since January 2020, Oleg oversees personnel, financial aspects, and deliverables for a business unit focused on novel technologies, including microelectronics and quantum platforms. Previously, Oleg co-founded and served as CEO of Rheo Biotechnologies, where responsibilities included developing commercial strategies, conducting market research, and ensuring regulatory compliance for medical devices. Earlier experience includes a role as a Research Engineer and Project Manager at the University of Toronto, leading teams in medical device development and securing over $2 million in research funding. Oleg started a career as a Developer Intern at Defence Research and Development Canada, focusing on biometric technologies. Oleg holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Toronto.
