John McPherson

John McPherson has extensive experience in leadership and finance, currently serving as a Board Member for both CMC and Uplift Education since 2020 and 2022, respectively. Previously, John was Vice Chairman and lead director at Forterra, Inc. from July 2019 to March 2022. John's notable positions at Vulcan Materials Company included EVP and CFO, as well as SVP for the East Region and Strategy and Business Development between 2011 and 2019. Prior to that, John spent over 15 years at McKinsey & Company as a Director (senior partner) and began a career in finance as a Financial Analyst at Goldman Sachs from 1990 to 1993. John holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from Stanford University.
