Ricardo C.

Ricardo C. currently serves as the Corporate Operations Excellence Manager at CMC, a position held since August 2025, where responsibilities include organizing the operations excellence group for rolling mills in the USA and Europe, promoting best practices, and ensuring safety, operational consistency, and product quality. Previously, Ricardo was the Senior Corporate Construction Project Manager at Nucor Corporation from 2023 to August 2025, and prior to that, held the position of Director of Engineering at Cascade Steel Rolling Mills from 2019 to 2023. Ricardo's experience also includes serving as the Head of Engineering and Operations at Gerdau from 2010 to 2019 and Project and Site Management at Morgan/Siemens VAI from 1991 to 2010. Educational qualifications include a Lean Manufacturing degree from MIT Sloan School of Management, a Melt Shop degree from AIST, a People Management certification from Harvard Business School, an MBA in Corporate Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Mechanical Engineering from the University of Braz Cubas in Brazil.
