Sam Matson

Sam Matson has extensive experience in engineering and manufacturing, currently serving as the Director of Manufacturing Excellence and Director of Energy Technology at CMC since August 2009. At CMC, responsibilities include analyzing operations to optimize efficiency and implementing best practices across various locations. Prior to CMC, Sam worked as a Senior Process Engineer at WorleyParsons, focusing on steelmaking, metallurgical processes, and business development, and has a foundation in programming from a role as an Interactivity Programmer at TriDigital Solutions. Sam began the professional career as a Process Engineer at Hatch Associates Pty Ltd. Sam holds a PhD and an MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, as well as a BS in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
