David Thompson

David Thompson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operational leadership and transformation within the financial services sector. Currently serving as Managing Director for Transformation and Execution at CME Group since November 2018, David previously held the role of Global COO and Board Director at Traiana until August 2021. His career spans various prominent organizations, including roles as Global COO at NEX Group plc and UBS Investment Bank, as well as management consultancy positions at Hatton Thompson & Associates Ltd and Mako Global. David began his professional journey as a Commercial Lawyer at Routledges Attorneys and Macintosh Cross & Farquharson. David holds a BProc (Hons.) degree in Law from the University of South Africa.
