Olivia Lau, CPA, CMA, MBA, has a diverse range of experience in accounting and finance roles. Their most recent position is as Controller/Director of Accounting at CMG (Capital Markets Gateway), where they are currently employed. Prior to this, Olivia worked at Viz.ai as the Director of Accounting, where they built the accounting and finance team from scratch and established operational accounting infrastructure. Before that, they were the Assistant Controller at Roostify, where they oversaw technical and operational accounting functions and led a team of four. Olivia also worked at Taulia Inc. as a Senior Accounting Manager, responsible for directing and overseeing technical and operational accounting aspects. Earlier in their career, they served as Financial Controller at The Acquisition Group, leading the accounting function and ensuring compliance with GAAP. Olivia's experience also includes being a Senior Accountant at Weatherhaven Canada Resources Ltd, where they led a team and completed various audits and GL restructuring projects.

Olivia Lau, CPA, CMA, MBA has a diverse educational background. Olivia started their education journey in 1995 and completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at The University of British Columbia in 1999. After a brief break, in 2005 Olivia pursued further studies and obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a major in Global Business Management from the University of Phoenix between 2005 and 2007. Additionally, Olivia achieved the designation of Certified Management Accountant (CMA) through Certified Management Accountants.
