Doreen Assaad

President of Economic Development, Finance and Employment Commission at CMM

Doreen Assaad has a long and varied work experience. Doreen began their career in 1994 as an Entrepreneur at A+ Tutoring Service. In 1999, they were a Teacher's Assistant and Research Assistant at Université de Montréal. In 2000, they became a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Business Analyst at Bombardier Aerospace. From 2005 to 2011, they worked as a Business Optimization Specialist at Canadian National Rail - CN. From 2011 to 2017, they were a Senior Advisor in Business Process Optimization at Desjardins Federation. In 2017, they became the Vice President of the Longueuil Transportation Commission at the Réseau de transport de Longueuil. In 2019, they were the President of the Economic Development, Finance, and Employment Commission at the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM). In 2021, they were appointed Chairman of the Board at Espace MUNI. Finally, since 2009, they have been the Mayor of the City of Brossard.

Doreen Assaad's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics & Computer Science from Université de Montréal, obtained between 1996 and 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a DEC in Universal Sciences (Pure & Health) from Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf between 1994 and 1996. Finally, they obtained a DES in High School/Secondary Diploma Programs from Collège Durocher Saint-Lambert between 1989 and 1994. Additionally, they hold a Six Sigma Black Belt Certification – Level III from BOMBARDIER.
