Gülseren Baranhan

Gülseren Baranhan is the TC Field Coordinator at the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus. Gülseren has also worked as an Admissions Officer, Teacher, Freelance Researcher, and Educational Associate.

Gülseren Baranhan began their career as a Teacher at The Heritage Private School in September 2009. Gülseren then worked as an Educational Associate at the Association of Theirtorical Dialogue and Research from January 2010 to December 2011. In April 2010, they began working as a Teacher at INEK – PEO and the School of Modern Greek Language (University of Cyprus), where they worked until June 2010.

From June 2010 to October 2010, Gülseren Baranhan worked as a Freelance Researcher for Cypronetwork Consultancy Group Ltd. Gülseren then worked as a Freelance Researcher for the Central Bank of Cyprus from November 2010 to January 2011. In January 2011, they began working as a Teacher at TotalCy Education Private Institute, where they worked until June 2011. Finally, Gülseren Baranhan has been working as an Admissions Officer at Intercollege Limassol Campus since May 2011.

Gülseren Baranhan has a PhD in Byzantine Studies and the Latin East from the University of Cyprus, a Master's Degree in Field Archaeology on Land and Under the Sea from the University of Cyprus, and a Diploma in Management of Cultural Units in Cultural Heritage Management from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon. Gülseren is also a Scientific Diver from the Illyrian Coastal Exploration Project, and a Nautical Archaeology Society member from the Nautical Archaeology Society. Additionally, they have attended the Aegean Maritime Archaeology Summer School at the University of the Aegean, and has a Basic Underwater Archaeology Certificate from UNESCO. Finally, they have a Master of Arts in Early Celtic Studies from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, and a Bachelor's Degree in Theirtory and Archaeology from the University of Cyprus.
