Larry Haefner

Larry Haefner is an accomplished actuary with extensive experience in the insurance industry, currently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Actuary at CNA Insurance since April 2008. Previously, Larry held the position of Vice President & Chief Actuary at The Travelers from 2004 to 2008, and served as VP of Strategic Planning at CGU between 1998 and 2001. Prior roles include Transition Coordinator at Safeco Insurance and a long tenure as an actuary at American States Insurance from 1981 to 1998. Larry's academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from Purdue University - Indianapolis and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Birmingham-Southern College.
