Dr Walid El Abed

Dr. Walid el Abed is the Founder and CEO of Global Data Excellence, established in December 2007, focusing on data governance and maximizing business value through data excellence. With extensive experience in higher education, Dr. el Abed serves as a visiting professor at multiple universities, including Université de Franche-Comté and Université de Fribourg, where courses on Semantic Meta Models and Data Excellence are taught. Prior roles include Strategic Data Excellence Unit Director at Sopra Steria and Business Excellence Manager at Nestlé, where significant contributions were made to data quality and governance strategies. Dr. el Abed holds multiple degrees in Artificial Intelligence and Language Sciences from Université de Franche-Comté and is actively involved in human rights advocacy through Association Al Mawada.
