Jason Gewirtz

Jason Gewirtz is an experienced media professional currently serving as Vice President of News at CNBC since May 2001, where responsibilities include organizing daily news coverage, managing operations, and leading a data team to enhance reporting on global markets. In addition to this role, Jason has been an adjunct professor at New York University and Yeshiva University since August 2018, teaching broadcast and digital journalism to graduate and undergraduate students, respectively. Jason is also an author, with the book "Israel's Edge: The Story of the IDF's Most Elite Unit - Talpiot" published in March 2016. Previous experience includes producer roles at ABC News, WUSA-TV, WOIO-TV, WRGB-TV, and WPBN-WTOM, along with an internship at WREG in 1992. Jason holds degrees from the Poynter Institute, Syracuse University, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
