Jim Pavia

Jim Pavia is an experienced journalist and editor with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the Senior Editor for Personal Finance at CNBC since July 2013, Pavia previously held leadership roles at InvestmentNews, where the positions included Editorial Director and Editor. Pavia's editorial expertise was also demonstrated during a decade at Nielsen Company, where the role of Editor in Chief encompassed multiple publications such as National Jeweler and Leisure Travel News. Early career experiences included positions at the New York Daily News, St. John's University as an adjunct professor, The National Sports Daily, and the Staten Island Advance. Pavia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from New York University, earned between 1978 and 1982.
