Scott Gillespie

Scott Gillespie is a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in communications, journalism, and academia. As the founder and chief creative of Message & Media since June 2008, Scott has led strategic communications initiatives across various media. In addition to this role, Scott serves as a ghostwriter for Book Ambition, specializing in high-profile book publication and corporate storytelling. With nearly three decades of experience as a professor of English, Communications, and Journalism at Fairmont State University, Scott has also held significant positions such as Director of Public Relations and communications director at various educational institutions. Current journalism efforts include work as a news reporter for the Times-West Virginan and previous roles as an enterprise correspondent for The State Journal and senior editor for the U.S. Department of Energy. Scott holds a Master’s degree in Public Relations from Marshall University and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from West Virginia University.
