Arit John

Arit John is a National Political Reporter at CNN since August 2023, previously serving as a National Political Correspondent and Reporter for the Los Angeles Times from February 2020 to August 2023. Prior freelance reporting experience from April 2019 to February 2020 focused on politics and culture. Arit John worked at The New York Times for a brief period in 2019 as a Reporter in the Styles section, covering youth culture and significant events in Southern California. Additional experience includes reporting at Bloomberg from September 2014 to March 2019, where coverage included the Congress team and notable political campaigns, as well as a position as a Staff Writer at The Atlantic from July 2013 to September 2014. Early career highlights include editorial internships at The Reykjavík Grapevine and The Hollywood Reporter. Arit John holds a B.A. in English Literature from UCLA, completed in 2012.
