Ben Dedrick

Ben Dedrick is a seasoned product designer currently serving as the Staff Product Designer for CNN's Ad Experience team, leading the design of new ad products and redesigning existing placements for desktop and mobile web since September 2023. Prior to this role, Ben held multiple positions at Spotify from December 2018 to January 2023, including Product Design Lead, where oversight of a design team facilitated innovative monetization strategies, and interim Design Tribe Lead for a messaging platform. Ben's experience also includes a tenure as Senior Product Designer at Salesforce.org, focusing on the Nonprofit Success Pack, and as a Consultant at Slalom Consulting, specializing in user experience design for various platforms. Ben began the career path in quality engineering at Adobe, supporting testing efforts for Flash Player, and possesses a background in case management in mental health services. Educational accomplishments include a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, along with formal training in UX design from General Assembly.
