Clare Foran

Clare Foran is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in political reporting and editing. Currently serving as the Capitol Hill Editor at CNN since March 2018, Clare oversees coverage for the Capitol Hill team, managing correspondents and reporters. Previously, Clare was a Lead Digital Writer and Breaking News Reporter at CNN, covering significant events including Supreme Court confirmations and presidential impeachments. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Editor at The Atlantic, Staff Writer and Editorial Fellow at National Journal, and Freelance Contributor at CityLab. Clare began the career with internships at Philadelphia City Paper, NPR, and The Brookings Institution, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Pennsylvania.
