Darren Tome

Darren Tome is a seasoned digital product leader with extensive experience in the media industry, currently serving as Vice President of Digital Products at CNN since May 2019. Previously, Tome held leadership roles at Mashable, where responsibilities included Vice President of Product Management and Director of Product Management, as well as Director of Product Management at Black Entertainment Television. From June 2006 to January 2011, Tome contributed to NBC Universal as a Senior Product Manager and later as Product Manager for Local Media, notable for leading innovative projects like the NBC Local Media Labs initiative and the "Mood of our Cities" product in collaboration with Google Maps. Academic credentials include a B.S. and an M.S. in Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University and an educational background from Punahou School.
