Jeanne Bonner is an accomplished editor, literary translator, and writer with extensive experience in journalism, education, and literary criticism. Currently serving as an NEA Literature Fellow in Translation at the National Endowment for the Arts, Bonner focuses on translating the short stories of a transnational Italian author who addresses themes of survival from Auschwitz. With a significant tenure at CNN since 2015, Bonner edits global news stories while also contributing writing to prominent publications such as The New York Times and Literary Hub. An experienced educator, Bonner has held roles as a writing instructor at Camp KO and as a visiting assistant professor at Wesleyan University. With advanced degrees in Italian and Creative Writing from respected institutions, Bonner has been recognized with the 2018 PEN Grant for the English Translation of Italian Literature.
