Mike Finkel

Mike Finkel serves as the VP of Engineering at CNN since March 2025, bringing extensive experience from prior roles including Senior Vice President and Vice President of Engineering at Major League Baseball from June 2021 to March 2025. Prior to that, Mike held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Dow Jones for nearly four years, overseeing technology for The Wall Street Journal and mobile platforms. Additional experience includes serving as Director of Software Engineering at Scripps Networks Interactive and various roles at The New York Times, which encompassed Executive Director of Web Products Technology and Director of Web Products/Emerging Technology.
