Rob Ferris

Rob Ferris is an experienced professional in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as a SAGD Field Technologist and Company Representative at CNOOC International since September 2021. Previously, Rob held key roles at MEG Energy Corp., including SAGD Completions Operational & Engineering Technologist, where responsibilities included preparing comprehensive completion and workover programs while managing costs and ensuring safety and compliance. Additionally, Rob served as a Drilling and Completions Technologist, leading budgeting and project management efforts for significant drilling programs. Rob began a career in the field with Compass Directional Services LTD. as an MWD & LWD specialist. Rob earned a Diploma with Honours in Petroleum Engineering Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology between 1999 and 2001.
