Ben Field is a CNRS Project Leader and research scientist at CNRS in Marseille, where they focus on using plant molecular biology to explore chloroplast roles in plant stress adaptation and survival. Since 2009, their work has involved innovative genetic and biochemical approaches in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana. Prior to this, Ben completed a PhD in Plant Molecular Biology at The John Innes Centre and served as a postdoctoral fellow there from 2004 to 2008. They also hold a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Durham University.
