Laurent Zimmer is a seasoned academic and researcher currently holding the position of Professeur attaché at CentraleSupélec since September 2007, as well as a researcher at CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique and a member of the administrative council of the Association Francophone de Velocimetrie Laser. Since September 2023, Laurent Zimmer has taken on the role of co-responsable for the Diplôme Universitaire "Agir pour le climat" at Université Paris-Saclay, focusing on equipping students with foundational knowledge across various disciplines to address climate and ecological transition challenges. Laurent Zimmer's research includes an extensive tenure at the EM2C laboratory and a previous role as a researcher at the Chofu Aerospace Center in Japan. Educational qualifications include dual PhDs in Mechanics and Energetics from Université Henri Poincaré, and in Applied Science from Université libre de Bruxelles, alongside a Master's degree in Fluid Mechanics from the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, and an Engineer's degree in Fluid Mechanics from ESSTIN.
