Pascal Briois

Pascal Briois serves as the Director of the Micro Nano Science & System (MN2S) department at Institut FEMTO-ST since January 2017, overseeing research and administrative activities for a department comprising 121 members. Concurrently, Pascal Briois holds positions as an Associate Professor and Deputy Director within the same department, contributing to scientific strategy and representation on various boards. At Université de Technologie de Belfort-Montbéliard, Pascal Briois has been the Head of Micro-Nano Materials and Surface (MINAMAS) and the head of the SURFACE platform since November 2006, as well as co-founding the Hydrogen Energy Mastère Spécialisé Program. Additional roles include membership in the French National H2 network and leadership in the design of FCLAB research axes. Early career experiences feature positions at CNRS and various roles at LERMPS, where research focused on material science and surface treatment. Pascal Briois's educational background includes a PhD in Material Science from Institut national polytechnique de Lorraine and an Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches from Université Marie et Louis Pasteur.
