Het CNV is de vakbond die ervoor wil zorgen dat jij je werk met plezier doet en uit je loopbaan kunt halen wat je ervan verwacht. Of het jou nu gaat om een hoger salaris en carrière maken, een veilige en leuke werkplek, opleidingen om jezelf te kunnen ontwikkelen of het goed kunnen combineren van werk en privéleven.

Wij willen mensen in staat stellen om met hart en ziel hun werk te doen. Ervoor zorgen dat niemand aan de kant hoeft te staan en dat je op een gezonde manier je oude dag kunt halen. Dit doen we met onze diensten en producten. Maar ook - zoals we al meer dan 100 jaar doen - door te zorgen dat je arbeidsvoorwaarden goed geregeld zijn.

Onze onderhandelaars aan de CAO-tafels en onze bestuurders in Den Haag zijn hier dagelijks mee bezig. Op weg naar een samenleving waar iedereen mee kan doen. 

CNV is een vakbond voor deze tijd
Er is in de loop der jaren veel geregeld door vakbonden. Dit is zo vanzelfsprekend geworden. Je krijgt je loon, er zijn dagen dat je vakantie mag opnemen en afspraken over hoeveel uren je werkt. Na hun studie gaan nog steeds veel mensen werken. De onderwerpen waarvoor een vakbond opkomt veranderen; de oude blijven, maar er komen nieuwe bij. Vroeger ging het over arbeidstijden, nu over de combinatie van een baan met een privéleven. Vroeger ging het over medezeggenschap, nu over zeggenschap over hoe je werk beter en met meer plezier gedaan kan worden. Vroeger over de lengte van de WW-uitkering, nu hoe je voorkomt dat je werkloos wordt.
