Western Mass Energy Efficiency Program Director at Co-op Power

Steve Roberto began their work experience in 1971 as a Staff Sergeant - Administrative Manager in the United States Air Force. Steve then worked as an Installation/Repair Technician at New England Telephone from 1979 to 1981. Following that, they worked as a Senior Marketing Analyst at Data General Corporation from 1981 to 1986. In 1986, they established their own remodeling contractor company called Steve Roberto Remodeling Contractor, where they served as the Owner and CEO until 2012. In 2009, they joined the Gill Montague Regional School District as a Facility/Energy Manager, overseeing facilities, construction, and maintenance operations until 2011. In 2016, Steve began working in the energy efficiency/renewable energy sector, first as a Project Manager, evaluating energy efficiency measures and identifying renewable energy solutions. Steve later became the Western Mass Energy Efficiency Program Director at Co-op Power.

Steve Roberto has a diverse education history that includes a professional certificate, a bachelor's degree, and a manager certification. Steve attended Greenfield Community College in 2009-2010, where they obtained a Professional Certificate in Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency. In 1975-1979, they enrolled in the University of Massachusetts Amherst and earned a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Psychology and Anthropology. Steve went back to Greenfield Community College in 2013 to acquire a ServSafe Manager Certification in Food Safety, but the end year of this certification is unknown.
