Simon Barker

Simon Barker has extensive experience in retail space planning, currently serving as Format Tailoring Manager at The Co-operative Group since February 2010. In this role, Simon specializes in micro and macro space planning, overseeing the allocation of macro space for store refits, new builds, and acquisitions. Prior to this position, Simon worked as a Macro Space Analyst, producing space models and determining space allocation across various store categories. Simon's career includes a tenure as Senior Space Planner and Space Planner at United Co-operatives/The Co-operative Group, as well as experience as a Store Manager for convenience retail outlets in the North West. Simon began the career as a Sales Assistant at Asda from 1984 to 1987. Educational background includes attendance at Richard Fairclough County High School in Warrington from 1979 to 1984.
