Oscar Ashihundu - Cism

Oscar Ashihundu has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of information security and risk management. Starting from their most recent position at the Co-operative Bank of Kenya as the Head of ICT Risk & Control, they are responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's ICT risk and control initiatives. Prior to this role, they served as an Officer in the same department.

Before joining the Co-operative Bank, Oscar worked at Credit Bank PLC as the Information Security Manager in the Risk Department. Oscar supervised and implemented security measures to safeguard the bank's sensitive information. Additionally, they worked as the IT Security Manager in the ICT Department, where they were responsible for managing the bank's overall IT security infrastructure.

Oscar's earlier experience includes working at Kenya Bankers Sacco Ltd. as an IT Officer. During their tenure, they contributed to various IT-related tasks and projects.

With their certifications in CISM, CEH, ITIL, ISO ISMS, PIMS, and BCMS, Oscar brings a strong foundation of knowledge and expertise in information security, risk management, and IT service management to their roles.

Oscar Ashihundu has a Bachelor of Business Information Technology degree from Strathmore University, where they studied from 2008 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Computer Engineering from the Kenya School of Professional Studies in 2007 and 2008.

In terms of additional certifications, Oscar obtained the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA in January 2019. Oscar also holds the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH v10) certification from EC-Council, acquired in September 2018. In 2021, Oscar acquired the ISO 27001 Lead Implementer - Information Security Certification from PECB. Following this, in 2022, they obtained the ISO 27701 Lead Implementer - Information Privacy Certification from the same institution. Most recently, in 2023, Oscar achieved the ISO 22301 Lead Implementer - Business Continuity Certification, also from PECB.

Oscar also has the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, awarded by AXELOS Global Best Practice, which they obtained in 2016. Lastly, Oscar has mentioned their enrollment in the Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) program, but no completion date or certification has been provided.
