William Otieno, CPA(K) has extensive experience in the field of credit risk analysis and management. William started their career as a Credit Risk Analyst at Sidian Bank in 2010. William then joined NCBA Group in various roles, including Assistant Credit Manager, Corporate Credit Analyst/Deputy RM, and eventually, as a Credit Risk Manager. In 2016, they moved to Equity Bank Limited, where they served as a Credit Risk Manager and later as a Senior Credit Risk Manager. William also took on additional responsibilities as the Ag Head of ESG and E & S Credit Champion. In 2021, they were promoted to the position of General Manager Credit Risk & Head of Corporate Credit Risk Underwriting at Equity Bank Limited. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Corporate Credit Risk Analysis at Co-operative Bank of Kenya since 2023.
William Otieno, CPA(K), obtained a Master of Economics and Finance degree from Kenyatta University between 2014 and 2017. Prior to this, they completed an Advanced Diploma in Credit, with a focus on Commercial Lending, from Omega Performance Corporation (UK) in 2014. In 2010, they became a Certified Public Accountant CPA (K) after completing their accounting studies. In 2009, they completed their undergraduate studies in Mathematics at Kenyatta University.
