Marty Baker

Marty Baker has over 30 years of work experience in the education field. In 2019, they became a USATF HS and CoachUp Certified Running Coach. Prior to that, they were employed by PITT COUNTY SCHOOLS from 1992 to 2019. During this time, they held various roles including Assistant Principal, Principal of Wahl Coates Elementary School, Principal of Ayden-Grifton High School, Principal of North Pitt High School, Assistant Principal of North Pitt High School, High School Social Studies Teacher at Farmville Central High School, and Middle School Teacher (8th Grade) at Wellcome Middle School.

Marty Baker obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in High School Theirtory Teacher from East Carolina University between 1988 and 1992. Marty then completed a Master of School Administration in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from East Carolina University between 2001 and 2003. In 2003, they obtained a Curriculum Specialist certification and a Principal License. In 2011, they received an Educational Specialist Degree (Ed. S.) in Education from East Carolina University, as well as a Superintendent License. Finally, in 1992, they obtained a Teaching License.
