Mariya Ahsan

Mariya Ahsan is an experienced professional in environmental engineering, currently serving as Deputy Manager at Coal India Limited since November 2014. Key responsibilities include managing environmental clearance for mines, developing mine closure plans, and overseeing the Jharia rehabilitation project, along with engaging the community through the quarterly newsletter "Paryavaran Darpan." Previously, Mariya worked as an Assistant Manager at Atkins, where skills in SewerCAD and Inforworks were developed, and as a Teaching Assistant at IIT Kanpur, facilitating laboratory sessions and grading for environmental courses. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from IIEST, Shibpur.
