Mahesh Rajasekar

Mahesh Rajasekar currently serves as an Urban Resilience Adviser at both Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure and Miyamoto International, contributing to the development and implementation of disaster risk resilience strategies for member countries. Previously, Mahesh held significant roles such as Chair of Urban Resilience at the National Institute of Urban Affairs, Technical Assistance for Smart Cities at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, and Director positions at Taru Leading Edge Private Limited and Center for Urban and Environmental Change. With foundational experience as a GIS Engineer at RMSI and Research Associate at Indiana State University, Mahesh has a robust academic background, including a PhD in Climate Change from Indiana State University and an MSc in Geoinformatics from ITC, The Netherlands.
