Ilsa Derfus

Ilsa Derfus is the Director of Capacity at Coalition, Inc., where they manage reinsurance partner relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for capacity matters. Ilsa transitioned from a career in teaching to the reinsurance industry nearly a decade ago, appreciating the daily challenges and opportunities for learning this field offers. Previously, Ilsa worked at Aon Benfield as a drafter and held various roles at McGill and Partners, including Associate and Partner, where they focused on complex problem solving and client servicing. Ilsa earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, summa cum laude, from Lawrence University.
