Valeria Vasquez-Barros is a product engineering intern at CoapTech since June 2025, following a robust academic and professional background in mechanical engineering from The Johns Hopkins University. Valeria previously served as a facility manager and fitness monitor at Johns Hopkins, where responsibilities included overseeing facility operations, managing patron concerns, and ensuring safety. During May to July 2024, Valeria worked as an undergraduate researcher at Universidad Pontificia Comillas, focusing on the precise manufacturing of bone cements. Additionally, Valeria gained experience as a body design engineer co-op at Toyota North America in summer 2023, contributing to advanced mobility vehicle concepts using Catia and FEA for structural studies and systems integration. Valeria holds a Bachelor of Science and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University.
