Wayne Thompson

Wayne Thompson has extensive work experience in the field of risk and internal audit services. Wayne started their career in 1997 at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Director in the Risk Practice. In 2002, they joined Citizens Bank of Canada and worked in the Internal Audit department until 2004. Wayne then moved to Ernst & Young in 2011, where they served as the Practice Leader for Risk & Internal Audit Services in British Columbia until 2014. From 2014 onwards, Wayne has been working at Coast Capital Savings, initially as the Vice President and Chief Auditor, and currently as the Chief Internal Auditor.

Wayne Thompson attended Western University from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in December 2004 and became a Chartered Professional Accountant through CPABC in December 2000.
