Lily De Asis

Lily de Asis, CPA, CGA, CIA, CRMA has a diverse work experience in auditing and accounting. Lily is currently serving as the Director of Accounting and Reporting Services at Coast Hotels. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Internal Auditor (Business Advisor) at Kwantlen Polytechnic University from December 2019 to September 2022. From 2015 to 2019, they held the position of Senior Audit Services Advisor at the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, where they were involved in designing internal controls and governance processes, developing audit approaches, and identifying opportunities for organizational improvement. Before that, they worked as an Internal Auditor at both Coast Hotels & Resorts and the Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, where they conducted risk-based audits and assessed internal controls and procedures. Lily also has experience in project management and held the role of Project Manager at Coast Hotels & Resorts. In the earlier stages of their career, Lily worked as an Accounting Administrator at Coit Services and as an Internal Auditor at Amon Marketing Inc. Lily began their career as a Junior Staff Assistant at Punongbayan & Araullo, where they gained experience in outlining audit plans, evaluating evidence, and discussing audit findings with supervisors.

Lily de Asis, CPA, CGA, CIA, CRMA, earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy from the Philippine School of Business Administration from 1994 to 1997. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy with a specialization in Accounting and Business/Management from De La Salle University from 1992 to 1994. Additionally, Lily attended St. Matthew's Academy from 1988 to 1992. Furthermore, they obtained several certifications, including Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2018, Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2015, and Certified General Accountant (CGA) from CGA-Canada in 2007. Lily is also a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) through CPA Canada.
