Senior Vice President, Development at Coast Hotels

Mark Hope has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Mark started their career as a Front Office Manager at CP Hotels & Resorts (now Fairmont Hotels) in 1988, where they worked until 1991. Mark then moved to Delta Vancouver Airport Hotel & Marina (Now Pacific Gateway Hotel) and served as the Front Office Manager until 1992. Mark then joined The Hotel Grand Pacific as the Director of Marketing & Sales from 1992 to 1994. After that, they worked at Coast Hotels in various roles including Director, Marketing & Sales - Coast Plaza Hotel & Suites and Director Marketing & Sales - Leisure Products / Resort Division / Administration. Mark held roles of increasing responsibility at Coast Hotels, including Executive Director Brand Development, National Director of Sales, Senior Executive Director of Development & Revenue Strategy, and Vice President of Development & Revenue Strategy. As of May 2022, Mark is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Development at Coast Hotels.

Mark Hope attended the following institutions for their education:

- From 2005 to 2007, they attended Vancouver Community College (VCC) and obtained a Bachelor of Hospitality Management degree with a focus on Hospitality Administration/Management.

- In 2003, they participated in the Advanced Management Program for the Hospitality Industry at the University of Guelph.

- From 1984 to 1986, they studied at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and obtained a Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Administration.
