Pamela Martin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in journalism and political engagement. Currently serving as a Board Member for Coast Mental Health since March 2018, Pamela's prior roles include self-employed broadcast journalist focusing on political outreach and a Director of Engagement and Liaison to The Premier for Today's BC Liberals. Between June 2011 and September 2013, Pamela held the position of Director of Outreach at the Office of the Premier for the Government of British Columbia. With a rich history in television news, Pamela anchored CTV News at Six from 2001 to 2011 and had a lengthy tenure as a news anchor, producer, and reporter at BCTV/Global from 1976 to 2001. Pamela's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, along with studies at Universidad de las Américas, A.C., Cornell University, and the University of Colorado Boulder.

Embarking on the road to recovery from mental illness is a deeply personal decision followed by an equally personal process. Community-based mental health care allows for programs, services, and resources to be customized around each person’s unique recovery needs. For 45+ years, Coast Mental Health has been empowering people living with mental illness by providing three essential pillars of sustained recovery: housing, support services, and employment/education. Every donation to Coast Mental Health Foundation provides people living with mental illness with a meaningful place in our community – a place to live, a place to connect, and a place to work.
