Romika Riquelme

Romika Riquelme has worked in various communication roles throughout their career. Romika is currently a Senior Internal Communications Lead at Coast Mountain Bus Company. Prior to that, they worked as a Communications Manager at Anthem Properties Group Ltd., where they managed internal communications, executed external communication strategies, and supported the company's Giving program. Romika also has experience as a Chief Executive Officer at Curvaz Swimwear Ltd., where they focused on sustainably and ethically made swimwear. Romika has previous experience in communication roles at Fraser Health Authority, Suncor, and Syncrude Canada Ltd., where they held positions such as Redevelopment Communications, Communications Advisor, Public Affairs Representative, and Maintenance Procedures Coordinator. In these roles, they gained experience in areas such as public affairs, health safety and environment communications, and business controls.

Romika Riquelme began their education journey at Langara College from 2003 to 2006, where they completed the University Transfer Program. Romika then attended Simon Fraser University from 2007 to 2009, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree. Romika'smajor was Political Sciences, and they also completed an extended minor in Latin American Studies.

In addition to their formal education, Romika has also obtained certifications to enhance their skills. In October 2020, they completed the "Project Management Fundamentals and Beyond" certification from StackSkills. Furthermore, in August 2021, they obtained the "Grammar Girl's Quick and Dirty Tips for Better Writing" certification from LinkedIn.
