Monica Escalante

Monica Escalante is the President at Coastal Hospice. Monica has over 19 years of experience in the field of hospice care and has been with Coastal Hospice for the past year. Prior to joining Coastal Hospice, Monica was the CFO / CCO at Montgomery Hospice for 19 years. In that role, they provided leadership in the development of the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives, as well as a timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts. Monica also oversaw all aspects of Montgomery Hospice's Finance & Accounting functions, and was responsible for planning and implementing strategic/educational outreach targeting Montgomery County medical, faith-based and lay communities. Additionally, they managed media relations and maintained relationships with Montgomery County's community leaders and advocates.

Before their time at Montgomery Hospice, Monica was a Social Marketing Specialist at The Media Network, where they conducted national, community-based qualitative and quantitative research to promote behavior change campaigns for the Center for Substance Abuse (CSAT) and the National Institute on Aging. Monica also designed research-based communication and promotional strategies for television, radio, and newspapers to reach out to the Theirpanic and Chinese communities on various health issues, such as Substance Abuse, Cancer Prevention, and Aging.
