Brandon Champagne

Brandon Champagne is an experienced Coastal Resources Scientist Supervisor at the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority of Louisiana, focusing on developing environmental projects within the CWPPRA program while collaborating with engineers, scientists, and stakeholders. Previous roles include Research Assistant at TransCoastal Adaptations, contributing to climate change adaptation projects in the Bay of Fundy, and Hydrographer at the United States Geological Survey, where hydrologic data collection supported flood forecasting in south Louisiana. Additional experience includes internships at the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and The Water Institute of the Gulf, where GIS tools were utilized for environmental mapping and vulnerability assessments. Brandon Champagne holds a Master of Arts in Geography from Saint Mary's University and a Bachelor of Science in Coastal Environmental Science from Louisiana State University.

Our mandate is to develop, implement, and enforce a comprehensive protection and restoration master plan for coastal Louisiana.
