Matt Y.

Matt Y. has a diverse work experience. Matt started their career in 2006 as an Operation Manager and Accountant at Da Yang Seafood Inc, where they worked until 2008. In 2008, they joined Expeditors as a Senior Accountant until 2010. Since 2010, Matt Y. has been with Coastal Transportation, Inc., initially as a Controller until 2017 and then promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2018.

Matt Y. started their education journey at the University of Washington from 2003 to 2005, where they pursued a degree in Accounting and Finance at the Michael G. Foster School of Business. After a break from formal education, Matt returned to the University of Washington in 2020 and is anticipated to graduate in 2023 with a Master of Science in Information Management, specializing in Business Intelligence & Data Science. Alongside their formal education, Matt has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2010, they became a Certified Public Accountant through the State Board Of Accountancy. In 2011, they obtained the Certified Management Accountant designation from the IMA | Institute of Management Accountants. In 2012, they achieved the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification from the AICPA. In 2018, Matt completed a course on Data Analytics: Techniques for Decision Making from the University of Washington. Further enhancing their knowledge and skills, they obtained the Mergers & Acquisitions certification from LinkedIn in 2022 and the Exam Prep MB-920: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (ERP) certification from LinkedIn in 2023.
