James Gunningham

James Gunningham is an experienced tax professional with a robust background in managing tax affairs across various industries. As the European Tax Director at Coats Group plc since June 2013, James oversees transfer pricing transactions for the EMEA region. Previous roles include serving as the European Tax Director at JD Gunningham Consulting Limited and BP, as well as interim Tax Manager positions at Mondi plc, where responsibilities encompassed tax restructuring and compliance. James held the position of European Tax Director at Novelis, following its spin-off from Alcan, and previously directed tax affairs for British Alcan and The BOC Group. James is a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), holding an ACA in Accountancy and an HND in Business Studies.
